Huber Heights is in Montgomery County. It is located northeast of the city of Dayton and is within 5 miles of Wright Patterson Air Force Base. It is known as “America’s largest community of brick homes.” The city is named for the developer, Charles Huber, who constructed a number of the homes that would later compose the city. Huber Heights is the city of Dayton’s second largest suburb.
Huber Heights has the over 900 acre Carriage Hill Metro Park & Farm plus 13 parks covering 125 acres. Run, walk, bike or skate over 60 miles of scenic trails operated by Five Rivers Metroparks.
The city of Huber Heights and the YMCA of Greater Dayton-Huber Heights jointly operates 13 city parks. Many of the parks offer playgrounds, shelters, ball fields, basketball and tennis courts, picnic areas and trails.

Huber Heights School District includes Wayne High School, two middle schools, and seven elementary schools. There are also private schools, Dayton Christian Academy and St. Peter’s Catholic School.
